note from blake 1.5.2005 : "I found myself with a rekindled desire to hit the field and get sprayed with paint again after. oh. 6 years or so? Being a week day I can't do that so I pulled out the trusty laptop and came across Triggertime's page. From there I found SCRoadKill's page. I was astonished to realize that I'd gotten so far out of touch that I didn't even know you guys had a web page much less even still played! Anyway, enough banter. lets see if you can even remember me. Blake Weaver? My cousin, Big Adam, and I used to come out regularly. He and I played at your house against you and Clay once when we first got our "trusty" VM-68s. I played at Vanguard from 1995 -1997 (I think those years are accurate) and attended "1995 - Final Conflict", "1996 - Project Nexus", & "1996 - Nightwing II" down in Ocala with ya - I think I still have that old ugly yellow T-shirt with the tire-marked possum on the back. Drop me a line sometime. I'm seriously considering getting back
into the sport and after seeing all these electronic freakin' guns
everywhere I definitely need to talk to you about old school paintball.

1.04.2005 : Ok, I didn't fall far cause I never was all that mighty...

Lots of new faces out there and even some of the old faces I barely recognize. Plus I figure only a handful of you guys would recognize me.

Anyhow, I'm not married yet but I might as well be. Got a steady girl now which I'm soon to propose to, but she doesn't know that yet. So thats a lot of my time out the window. I work a rotating 12 hour shift along with writing software on the side. Goes with out saying, time is limited.

I got out of paintball originially because 'young' + 'college' = 'broke'. Since then I've moved back to my home town near Florence. Of course I'm still more-or-less broke. Worse yet, I sold 99% of my old gear... so I'm in the market. Good news is, I've got a bead on a Sniper II. Once I get some gear again I intend on playing as many scenario games as shift work allows.

Now... speaking of gear. There are a ton of new guns on the market that I've never heard of and half of its electronic crap. I'd love to hear some thoughts from you guys on electronic markers. Worth buying? If so, which? Electronic or not, I intend to own a pump and a semi. I need advice on which way to go on the semi. So, my ears are open... speak up. Reeducate me!

Oh, and if you guys have stuff to get rid of let me know, I may want to buy it. I need everything from Hoppers to the guns.

I -will- see you guys within the next month or so. Good luck til then.

Hope to hear from you soon, Blake Weaver
