before the game

We had a big rain storm Friday Night and a number of area events that kept the numbers very small, and as staff we compinsated by "touch your base" to reinsert. As a result, every player got plenty of action, and then some as no one ever left the field, and everyone was needed for every mission.

Saturday

DJ, Josh, Sean, Charlie and the Two Johns ran together and helped represent RK on the field. Eric played General for the American Rangers. Grendel and I ran missions, and Mike Curtis and Deep Freeze ran base refs. John-John played for the Americans in his first "played the whole event" game - defending the Ranger Base, and flying on 3 helicopter missions. (one to the tower - sniper insertion mission - one into the village - both HOT LZs). Josh and DJ were mog, and played to counter enemy movements. They worked well as solo players, but I did not see much teamwork between them.

Saturday Night

The game ran from 10:00am to 7:00pm, with a free for all feed to SouthernPigs at 8:00pm.

REPORTS

Grendel walks with MVRef by Ranger General Eric Parsons. The game came down to 900 to 900 at the start of the last mission. And the rangers make their exfiltrate mission to the village and won 1100 to 900. Ben Torencelli came to play General, and to check the field out for future events.

player comments on the reffing:

Team Romeo Charlie Member : I would like to comment on the refs of this game because i believe they were fair and helpful. One ref who was especially helpful was the one at the ranger base he would clean our masks and wipe off our paint without us even asking. (those paintballs did hurt when the didnt bust . But overall the refs seemed expirienced and helpful thanks.

Team Romeo Charlie Member : I am also a part of RC and would like to say thankz to everybody for putting that game on, and I would really like to thank all of the refs. Everyone was friendly and I had an great time.

Team Overshot Member : YES THANK YOU REF'S! thank you guys for a fun and safe scenerio as well as letting us TT staff play a scenerio THANKS!! we are very thankful !!! (ps mike is a kickass ref..)

Drewcif : it was nice to meet all the roadkill people, they did a TOP notch job reffing. they didnt need my help, that was the most efficient scenario reffing i have seen in a LONG time.

DREWCIF : News Flash. The game just ended the Americans ammerged victorious. The mogs faught valiantly and throughout the day, leading in the early part of the day, only to have many players leave early. Final Score Americans 1100, Mogs--900. Though the rain kept the player count low, those in attendance played their hearts out. The game was kept fast pased by a few modifications to standard procedure allowing faster re-insertion. The game was mission based with props only accentuating missions. The addition of helicopters was accepted for scenarios to come. And it is fair to assume that all in attendence were both thankful for a nice day, A great time, and Southern Pig bbq.

FROM TEAM TN OUTLAWS:

After all the hype,,
After all the talking it up,,,
After all our dreams of gore and glory,,,

Was it worth the 3.5 hour drive?
Was it worth the "honey-do list" growing?
Was it worth all the Ibuprofin I will be taking this week?
,,,,,
,,,,,,,,,,

Well,,, H#)) yeah it was!
Tennessee Outlaws had a blast!
We will be back.

In the mean-time I am offering a bounty for the name of whoever ordered that thunderstorm. The weekend would have been MUCH better without it!
